2010 Best Director, Best In Camera Editing, Best Sound Design

Short film for the 2010 Cheyenne 24hr Shootout Film Festival. This was a great project as it was the first project that was purely a creation with my family, girlfriend, her son and one of my best friends. We had no professionals other then myself and used a flip camera. It felt good to win Best Director and In-Camera edits on a non-one shot film. As much as I love the one-shot concept for these contests it was goo to know I can pull off both. It was also a blast getting my family a chance to be in one of my films and be apart of it. Yet again we turned this in with only five minutes to spare. I was up all 24hr hours. The longest I had been up for a 24hr film festival. The others I got 2hr-30min amount of sleep. The film was also shown at the 2010 Cheyenne International Film Festival.

The film is a dark comedy about the economy, death and pop fiction. When the Grim Reaper decides to get a smart phone instead of using the Book of Life he soon finds himself broke without a job. Desperate and depressed he resorts to finding jobs through a temp agency. Meanwhile, Heaven is interviewing the next Grim Reaper and on Earth, no one is dying. Trouble ensues.

Dedicated to my Grandma Littlefield who enjoyed horror stories as much as I do. I think out of anyone in the family, she would have had the most fun making this. Love you Grandma wish we had more time when I was older.

Cheyenne Film Festival Winner:
Best Sound Design, Best Director and Best In Camera Edits.

(THIS IS AN EDITED version – credits were added along with a few more sound effects and sharper title)
